Google Business Profile for a taxi or mobile transport business
A business that travels to customers can use a Google Business Profile without showing a public customer-facing address. For a taxi, private driver, airport-transfer company or tour-transport operator, we set up or manage a service-area profile and hide the address when customers do not visit that location.
Google allows service areas to be set by cities, postal codes or other named areas. A new profile cannot use a radius as its service area, and Google allows up to 20 service areas. We work with the real business name, accurate hours, a suitable primary category, a connected phone number and the business website or WhatsApp contact where available. Google says categories should describe the core business, rather than act as a list of search terms. One profile is generally used for a service area unless separate locations have separate staff and service areas. The profile can show where the operator works while keeping a private or residential address out of public view. It can also include photos, videos, posts, reviews, review replies, phone details, a website and WhatsApp contact options.

The Sangster International Airport taxi information describes JUTA and JCAL as the taxi companies operating from the authorised airport taxi desk. Airport searches are one example of how a transport business can be found through a specific place and service.

Our directory and business service

Does a taxi business need a physical storefront for Google Business Profile?
No customer-facing storefront is needed when the business travels to customers. A service-area profile can show named areas served while the public address is hidden, following Google’s address guidance.
Can a transport business list every parish in Jamaica as its service area?
