Add your business
Storefront optional
A one-driver taxi, home-based operator, private driver or service-area business can submit a request. If customers do not visit a public business address, provide the town, parish and areas served instead of exposing a private home address.
A useful service-area description might include:
- Sangster International Airport and nearby resort areas
- Kingston and St Andrew
- Montego Bay, Negril or Ocho Rios
- A specific parish, town or community
- Hotel, villa, cruise-port or airport pickup areas where the service operates
- School, corporate or event locations served by arrangement
Google describes service-area businesses as operators who visit customers or deliver services without serving customers at their business address. It recommends using named cities, postal codes or other recognised areas rather than a radius distance. See Google’s guidance on service areas.
How to describe a Jamaican business location
A street number is not required for every Jamaican business. If your business has no conventional number, combine details that help someone identify the location:
- Business or property name
- District or community
- Road or main road
- Nearby landmark
- Nearest town
- Parish
- Post office or postal district, where relevant
- Google Maps link
- Plus Code or GPS coordinates, where useful
For example, you might write, “Beside the community centre, [district], near [town], [parish].” A landmark works best when it is paired with the district, town and parish. Google also recommends adding nearby cross-streets or landmarks where an official address is not accurate. You can share a precise location with a Google Maps Plus Code.
What happens after you submit
A person reads each request. If more information is needed, Weh Fi Ride contacts you using the details you provided.
Keep your information clear and current. If the business is newly launched, renamed or not shown on Google, include its website, social page or another public business detail where available.
Travellers use the public details shown in a listing to contact operators directly about their own transport needs.
Frequently asked questions
Can a one-driver taxi apply?
Yes. A one-driver taxi, private driver or home-based operator can submit its business name, town, parish, phone, services and areas served. A public storefront is not required.
Can I submit a business that Google does not show?
Yes. Send a website or social page so the business can be identified.
What if the business has changed its name?
Submit the current business name and include the former name in the details if it helps people recognise the business. Add the current website or social page where possible.
Which location should an airport transfer company provide?
Give the town and parish where the business is based, followed by the airports, towns, resort areas or other places it serves. Do not describe an airport as a permanent business address unless the business actually has a customer-facing location there.
How long does review take?
Approved businesses are added within two business days. A person reviews each request and contacts you if more information is needed.
